How can Nano Silica change the properties of coatings?

Nano silica exhibits many characteristics that are not found in other materials. With many micropores, and a large specific area, the nano silica particle size distribution is extremely narrow. Nano silica has high reaction activities due to its large amount of unsaturated residual bond and hydroxyl group in different bonding state. The optical properties of nano-silica are excellent, with high visible and ultraviolet reflections.
How does Nano Silica alter coating properties?
Modifications to Waterborne Coatings
Prior to adding: low water resistance, low stability and high corrosion to equipment
The coating can be given antibacterial and self-cleaning effects.

Modification to wall coating
Prior to adding: No sun resistance, zero water resistance instability, poor adhesion etc.
This coating can be used to improve water resistance, storage stability and sun resistance as well as the thixotropy. It also helps control spatter, flow hanging, and other construction phenomena.

Modifications to Acrylic Resin Paint
Prior to adding: Poor mechanical properties, wear resistance and hardness, flexibility etc.
After adding: The mechanical properties, tensile strengths, hardness and scrubbing resistance of the film have been improved. As a result, the film is delicater and smoother. It also has an enhanced decorative performance.

Modifications to varnish
Before adding: The hardness and heat resistance of the film are not good, it’s easy to yellow due to the ultraviolet radiation.
Other features include: strong adhesion and hard wear resistance.

Why aluminium carbide has high hardness

What is Aluminium Carbide?
Aluminium carbide also known as aluminum tetracarbide with the molecular formula Al4C3, and is a form of aluminium carbonide. It is a transparent, yellowish brown, transparent rhombic hexagonal crystal. This crystal can also be called an ionic one. At room temperature it doesn’t conduct electricity and has a complex crystal structure. It is possible to have 4,5-6 coordinated metal atoms within the system. The length of Al-C bonds in this system is 1.90-2.22A. The shortest CC bond is 3.16A. The Xray studies show that one carbon atom is present in the structure, in the form of a distinct carbon negative ion C-4. It’s different than acetylene.

Method of synthesizing aluminium carbide
Al4C3 may be prepared by simply combining two simple substances at very high temperatures. Make a mixture with 1 part black smoke and 6 parts heavy aluminium powder. After moistening the mixture, add pine oil to it. Finally, pour a thick layer into a clay bowl and then sprinkle carbon powder over it. You should cover the crucible by a lid and then fill any gaps with refractory or asbestos clay. Place the mixture-filled crucible in an oven for pre drying. For 30 min, heat the mixture to 1200F. You can improve the result by heating it up. Cool the product under cool water to get rid of excess aluminum. Aluminium carbide is a finely crystalline powder that can be washed in water. After this, alcohol should quickly be used to wash away the excess aluminium. At 80 90 degrees, the product can be dried in a drying oven. It contains large amounts of aluminium oxide. The pure aluminium carbide product is inert, however the colours of the products created by this method are often different due to the impurities present in raw materials. Pure aluminium carbide can also be produced if the soot-alluminium mixture is calcined with hydrogen. For 2 h, the calcination should be performed at 1800 – 1900. You must grind the product and then calcine it again at the same temperature.

Principal uses for aluminium carbide
Aluminium carbide is used often to improve the strength and durability of ternary aluminum-based materials (Al-Si AlC or Al Ali AlC). AlC is an important compound for the technical sector of the metal-alluminium industry. It can be used to reduce metal oxides within the metallurgical sector, or chemical reaction catalysts for the chemical industry. Also, it is useful in advanced ceramic materials, such as cutting- and mouldmaking in ceramics. Chemicalbook, an ionic chemical, has carbon atoms that exist as C alone in its lattice structure. C is strong in alkalinity. Hydrolysis produces methane via C+4H–CH. AlC is also a methane dryer and generator. AlC’s rhombic Hexahedron is also a combination of AlC and AlC layers. The unique structure of AlC nanowires makes them a possibility cold electron emitter.

Aluminum carbide Price
Price will depend on how pure and small the aluminium carbide particles are. The purchase volume may also have an effect on cost. Large quantities of high quality aluminium carbide are more expensive. On our official website, you can see the price for aluminium carbide.

Difference Between Cu2O and CuO

What is cu2O? Cu2O, or cuprous oxide is an oxide univalent copper. It occurs mainly in the form reddish-brown or brick red crystals and powders. Cu2O, which is mainly chalcopyrite in nature, is very rich.
Cu2O cannot be dissipated in water, organic solvents or in any other liquid. But, it can dissolve in dilute hydrochloric, dilute sulfuric, or ammonium chloride. Cuprous oxide, which is stable at room temperatures and dry conditions can be made to CuO when heated for some time or placed in moist atmosphere.

For what purpose is Cu2O being used?
Cuprous oxide used in ship bottom antifouling painting (killing marine animals of low quality). Useful for colorants and fungicides in enamels and ceramics. Red glass stains are also used. A catalyst is used often to synthesize organic compounds using cuprous oxide.
Cu2O has received more and greater attention over the years. Cu2O is an excellent p-type semiconductor material that has outstanding properties and benefits such as non-toxic, simple preparation, chemical stability and good chemical resistance. This material has exceptional optical and magnetic properties, and it could have potential uses in fields like photocatalysis as well as photoelectric transformation. This band gap can absorb visible sunlight for photocatalysis as well as photoelectric transformation in theory. In fact, the maximum photoelectric efficiency is up to 18%.
Cu2O is a promising material with high application potential and excellent performance. Researchers are committed to the development of Cu2O in a variety of morphologies and structure, such as porous films or micro-nanostructure films.

What does CuO mean?
CuO (or cupric oxide) is a divalent black copper oxide. It is slightly bisexual and slightly hydrophobic. Copper oxide is insoluble when it comes to water and alcohol, but easily dissolves in acid. At high heat, copper oxide can decompose and become oxygen.

For what purpose is CuO?
Copper oxide can be used in organic synthesis as a catalyst for organic synthesis, analytical reagents (for nitrogen determination), an oxidant catalyst or petroleum desulfurizer. Also, it can be used to measure carbon in organic compound.
Useful as a colourant in the glass, enamel, ceramic and anti-wrinkle agents for paints and polishing agent to optical glasses. This is used to make dyes, copper compounds and organic catalyst carrier carriers. It’s also used to make rayon and grease. It’s used in the production of copper salts as well as artificial gems.

What is the Difference Between Cu2O and Cu2O ?
The compounds of copper, cuprous oxide Cu2O, and copper oxide cuO are made from the chemical element copper. These oxides contain copper in different oxidized states. Additionally, cuprous oxide has a +1 state of oxidation and copper oxide has a +2 state.
One of the main differences between cuprous and copper oxides is that cuprous is crimson and copper is black.
A further difference between copper oxide and cuprous oxide is the fact that cuprousoxide naturally exists as reddish mineral, chalcopyrite. Copper oxide, however, exists as mineral pyrite.

In most cases, calcium nitride is usually available in large volumes. Tungstenmolybdenummetals provides a wide range of products for hydrogen storage research, advanced fuel cells, and battery applications. Hydrogen is easily produced from renewable energy sources and is the most abundant element in the universe. Hydrogen comes from many sources, such as solid fuels, water, and renewable materials. Hydrogen is non-polluting and will form harmless water during use. Challenges related to the use of hydrogen as an energy source include the development of safe, compact, reliable, and cost-effective hydrogen storage and transmission technology. Currently, hydrogen can be stored in three forms: compressed hydrogen, liquid hydrogen, and chemical storage. High purity, submicron and Nanopowder forms can be considered. Calcium nitride is the main raw material for high-end phosphors. This phosphor is more stable, has better performance, and has better effects at high temperature and high humidity.
